Dalle De Verre

(Faceted Glass)

Dalle de Verrre is a technique created rarther recently (at least in terms of many stained glass techniques). It utilizes one inch thick glass, cut with a diamond saw or special hammers, and set in an epoxy matrix or grout. Many times the edges of the pieces are chipped with a hammer (known as "faceting"). These windows are usually very modern in feel, quite structurally strong and boldly effective.
