"You Are Here"
This window is an abstraction based on a cellular map of molecular biological processes that occurs in living cells. These biological pathways include the Krebs Cycle, glycolysis, and many others that, very basically, convert matter into energy on a cellular level in all life. The window is constructed with glass known as "Antique". This glass is made by hand blowing in a traditional method that has been used for centuries for the finest stained glass windows. The flashed streaky reds and blues used were especially designed and created for this project. The window is assembled in lead came, which is a style of construction that has remained virtually unchanged since the 13th Century.
